Abstract :
Summary form only given as follows. The effective application of computer technology involves more than just the computing hardware and software. It also involves the human interface to that equipment. This becomes increasingly important as more functions require computer use and computers are used for longer periods of time. Management and employees both need to be aware of ergonomic factors in computer use. Also, ergonomic computer use issues can extend beyond the work place to home use of computers. Ergonomic considerations are important to management in avoiding employee pain and injury and in establishing a productive work place
