Abstract :
A new all-optical clock operating from 6 to 46 GHz is presented and tested in 40 Gbit/s soliton 3R regenerator. Error-free single-channel 40 Gbit/s loop transmission is demonstrated over more than 10000 km with word length up to 2/sup 23/-1.
