Abstract :
DC stabilized power supplies are indispensable to any electronic system. In some cases, they are even the most important and decisive factors which affect system performances. In this paper, a new topology in which a novel two-stage interactive control strategy of controlled rectifier and linear voltage regulator is adopted is presented. The operation principle of this kind of power source is described, the design parameters of main circuit are given, and the experiments of a prototype developed based on the control strategy are made to demonstrate its effectiveness. The measured results show that the output voltage can be regulated in the wide range from several of volts to several hundreds of volts and the efficiency can be as high as 90% above for high output voltage, and that the DC power source is characteristics of high reliability, no EMI, low ripple noise and the topology is very suit for the applications where the requirement of precise of power source is high and that of the regulation range is wide.
