Abstract :
MCIWORLDCOM and Nortel Networks have deployed a record capacity 1 terabit/s 4-span NDSF live traffic field trial. 100/spl times/10 Gb/s modulated channels, including fixed wavelength and tunable transmitters in the C- and L-bands, were multiplexed and amplified across 200 km, employing a state-of-the-art bi-directional interleaved architecture and L-band technology.
