  • Abstract
    In the cable network in the automatic monitoring system, the OTDR module´s main role is measure optical fiber´s performance and definite optical fiber fault point position. We act according the wavelet transform´s superiority in the singular signal detection and signal filtering, has given the optical fiber breakdown monitor solution, which realized accurate examination and the localization of breakdown event under the strong noise. The experiments confirmed that the use of wavelet transform on OTDR curve analysis practical, feasible and high accuracy.
