Abstract
Transverse flux machine (TFM) has flexible and multiple arrangements with different characteristics for its electromagnetic decoupling. This paper presents a novel TFM with E-shaped stator core which combines the advantage of high specific torque with ease of manufacturing. Because of the complexity of TFM flux paths, the software S3DFEM based on scalar potential method is developed to analyze it. The experimental results of the prototype are presented in the end.
