Abstract :
A four-quadrant DC to AC switched-mode inverter, using a ´Cuk power converter, is analyzed. Also, a feedback loop is used to regulate the output voltage and produce purely sinusoidal voltage. First, a small signal dynamic model of the inverter is derived using the state-space averaging method. Then, based on this model, three approaches are used for the stability analysis: (1) frequency domain analysis. A Bode diagram is used to design the compensator and to determine the relative stability and bandwidth of the closed-loop system; (2) root locus analysis. According to the perturbation of the duty cycle the root loci are plotted. Using these plots, the behavior of the system is investigated; and (3) step response. This test is used to illustrate the relative stability and bandwidth of the system. Finally, some computer simulation and experimental results are presented
