Abstract
Digital fingerprinting is a promising technique to protect multimedia content from unauthorized redistribution by uniquely marking every copy of the content distributed to each user. In this paper, we propose an OFFO (optimal focused fingerprints from orthogonality) scheme in which a kind of optimal focused fingerprints is constructed from orthogonal basis. We show that OFFO is superior to orthogonal fingerprints in the sense of maximizing a geometric figure of merits for the detection test. Also, OFFO outperforms the n-simplex fingerprints when constructing fingerprints for L users with the length of N (N7>>L), illustrated through an example.
