Abstract
This paper presents a motion-oriented filter (MOF) to remove the motion distortion and to sharpen the image under camera shake. As is widely known, when capturing images under camera shake, the images would be blurred and unstable between the sequences. Although the conventional digital image stabilizer (DIS) can shift the pixels to stabilize the sequences, the images are still blurred due to the motion distortion so as to degrade the image quality. Therefore, the motion-oriented filter is proposed to sharpen the image through estimating the motion trajectory to determine the related motion distortion pixels and filtering coefficients. Experimental results revealed that the motion-oriented filter can effectively sharpen the images and result in good image quality.
