Abstract
This paper investigates effects of rotor eccentric radial displacements on magnetic field distribution, winding inductances, radial force and torque of BSRM. Magnetic field distributions of BSRM with different displacements of rotor eccentricity are calculated by 2-D finite element analysis. Then inductances of main and radial force windings, radial force and torque can be obtained, respectively. The calculated results testify that winding inductances, radial force and torque of the BSRM will have a great change because of the radial eccentricity. Inductances of main and radial force windings increase with augment of rotor eccentricity. Radial force and torque are the increasing functions of radial eccentric displacements.
