Abstract :
A quasi-linear control strategy for regulating DC/DC power converters under wide parameter variations is implemented using a digital signal processor. Experimental studies of this DSP-based controller are presented in this paper. Since the control method allows real-time modification of control parameters according to the changing environment, the resulting control shows significant improvement in performance over conventional methods. The proposed controller, being a programmable digital circuit, is highly reliable and flexible. This paper demonstrates the use of digital signal processors in controlling power converters
