Abstract
Knowledge transfer activities and processes in research and development are turning to the international level, the tendency is registered. Since several obstacles to efficient transfer activities and processes are identified, the crucial questions refer to strategies of approach, so participants in knowledge transfer activities succeed on long-terms. This essay focuses on challenges of international knowledge transfer according to the different routes of transfer in research and development. An emphasis is made to the role of intellectual property regulations.
