Abstract
The transmission control protocol (TCP) is a well established protocol for reliable data transport in today´s IP based internetwork. With the introduction of new, mobile oriented access technologies TCP faces new challenges. This paper investigates the influence of mobile user hand-offs on the performance of TCP.
