Abstract :
This paper considers improvement schemes of TCP over wireless links. TCP Santa Cruz is selected as the subject of study because of its promising simulation results. Since there is no reported implementation of TCP Santa Cruz, it is first implemented in Linux platform. The performance of TCP Santa Cruz is then assessed in wireless LAN and GPRS, and compared to TCP Reno. In this paper, a new algorithm, which is an improvement of TCP Santa Cruz, is also evaluated.
