Abstract :
This technical paper summarizes the methodology used to design an interactive food and exercise reporting program, called CFC GetFit. The team designed the site for the Chilidren´s Fiteness Clinic (CFC) in Charlottesville, VA, and the site includes health education, patient progress, and the ability to receive short message service (SMS) text messages from users. It is hypothesized that children who use CFC GetFit will more accurately track their health habits and be more motivated to achieve goals, leading to a more successful and sustained weight loss. This paper describes the technical solution to the CFC´s problem after analyzing all possible scenarios.
