Abstract :
Rain attenuation measured data have been obtained in converging terrestrial links at three sites operating in the Ku and Ka bands in tropical regions in Brazil. This paper reviews the experiments and models derived, based on the collected data, to predict rain attenuation statistics, differential rain attenuation and the parameters of rain attenuation time series synthesizers.
