  • Abstract
    We propose an extension to our hybrid method of moments/mode-matching method recently introduced for analyzing substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) devices. Here the formulation is extended to the case when layered dielectric media are present in each waveguide. We briefly present the analytical details involved in the derivation of the required dyadic Green´s function, as well as of the vector eigenfunctions used to represent the scattered field, with emphasis on the difference with the single-layer dielectric case. In addition, we validate the results of analysis of several SIW devices harboring layered media, obtained with our code, by comparing them against the ones obtained with a commercial, finite-element solver.
