Abstract :
Recently the Chinese governments at all levels are in urgent need of both a manageable research project evaluation index system and a scientific evaluation method that could help them select those research projects which are valuable in promoting the country´s economy and social development. In response to such a need, the present paper first suggests a useful research project evaluation index system. Then it explains how to apply fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to assess a research project´s value according to the suggested index system. Finally, examples are provided to show the applicability and reliability of fuzzy comprehensive method in research projects selection.
