Abstract :
The author discusses the legal protection of work of university engineering departments. The author discusses what intellectual property is, outlines a case study, discusses what a patent is and who owns the patent, resolving problems-by contracts, and patents and publications. The author concludes by suggesting that ownership should always be decided in advance and be put in writing
