Abstract :
A description is given of an enhancement to an electromagnetic analysis of arbitrary microstrip circuits which allow the inclusion of triangular, as well as rectangular, cells. A relatively simple solution for this potentially extremely complicated problem is provided. It is also shown that triangular cells are required for accurately analyzing microstrip geometries involving diagonal edges. In addition, a simple means of applying the two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform, resulting in a faster analysis, is described.<>
