Abstract :
Recently, the problem of space-time codebook construction for both spread and nonspread multiple-antenna wireless systems was addressed. The state-of-art solutions do not possess any specific structure which could be exploited to reduce the storage complexity and/or simplify coding process. In this paper, we treat the problem of designing structured space-time constellations for communication in spread multiple-antenna wireless systems over Rayleigh fading channel. A discrete Fourier transform-based approach is adopted and explicit constructions for some particular wireless scenarios, along with their performance assessment, are provided. Computer simulations demonstrate that significant improvement over state-of-art structured schemes can be obtained.
