Abstract
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) has recently been focused on in high-data-rate wireless communication research. But the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) is one of the main obstacles to limit wide applications of OFDM. In this paper, these techniques on reducing PAPR are presented, including signal distortion, signal scramming, and block coding. Furthermore, such PAPR solutions are discussed and compared, and some results are obtained by Monte Carlo simulations.
