Abstract :
Current Filipino-English dictionaries have media composed of books and web sites. A problem with these applications is that they are not contemporary, not dynamically updated, some do not even provide a definition with correct usage, and there is a lack of interaction between the user and the application. Experts are needed to make a reliable and accurate dictionary. Wikipedia and Stack Over flow were able to crowd source data from these experts and bridge them to users in need [1], [2]. Queries from the crowd and peer evaluation from other users are the elements that our crowd sourcing Filipino-English Dictionary, Librorum uses. Librorum was developed in iOS with backend support deployed on Parse [3]. It was tested with a crowd of 49 people ages 18-22. The crowd of 49 people was able to translate 78.43% of the entries with good accuracy. There were also considerable amounts of humorous and indecent translations within the entries.
