Abstract :
Tongue imaging and analysis devices for Traditional Chinese Medicine have increasingly become so small and portable that they can be used to collect tongue images from bedfast patients. This provides more opportunities for traditional tongue diagnosis, in both theoretical and practical context. In the study, to obtain a stable and high quality tongue image, authors have optimized some parameters to achieve a right illuminating environment and color temperature. Further more, to maintain the needed accuracy and reliability for tongue manifestation analysis, a right color correction method has to be employed to reduce color distortions. An off-line polynomial regression color correction method is used to enhance the color precision.
