Abstract
This paper proposed a decoupled PFC concept and a novel three-phase PFC circuit operated in quasi zero voltage switching mode. Its three phase voltages are decoupled partly in its power topology, therefore approximate unity power factor can be obtained with a simple control strategy. This converter has been verified by simulation results and successful application in a 5 kW switching mode power supply (SMPS). It is a good choice for a system with high power, high frequency, high reliability, low THD of the line current and high power factor. Finally, its design equations are derived from its further analysis
