Abstract :
This paper wants to show a comparison of some GIS Desktop tools, bearing in mind the parameters of evaluation established on the ISO/IEC 9126-3 norm. The comparison was made by the "Grupo de Investigacion en el Manejo de la Informacion -GIMI-" within the project "Sistema de Información Geográfico para Planes de Ordenamiento Territorial Municipal", to choose the best tool for the development of a suite guided to manage the Land Use Planning.
