Abstract :
The residential service industry is the most closed service sector to people´s daily lives. The competitive power of residential service industry directly reflects the comprehensive competitiveness and developmental level of local residential service industry, and it is the main element in measuring the social harmony of a region and people´s life and work in peace and contentment. The statistical yearbook data, national economic census data, as well as on-the-spot investigation materials were used to analyze the residential service industry in Guangdong Province, using the competitive power theory to discuss the competitive power of Guangdong residential service industry. Besides this, fuzzy evaluation method was used to evaluate the status of the competitive power of Guangdong residential service industry in 31 provinces (cities, districts) through constructing a multi-level index system. Finally based on the analysis of the competitive power of the residential service industry between twenty-one cities of Guangdong province, it comes to a conclusion that in comparison with the whole country, the competitive power of Guangdong residential service industry is at the forefront of the competitive power of residential service industry.
