Abstract :
Current technology enables the development of remote laboratories to carry out real-time experiments dealing with real equipment via Internet. This distance-learning laboratory training is particularly useful in science and engineering education, where the acquisition of hands-on skills plays a key role to complete a successful education program. This paper presents the implementation of a remote laboratory platform, based on the use of computer-controlled instrumentation and the Internet, which allows students to conduct all the laboratory experiences of an intelligent instrumentation course integrated within a microelectronics and intelligent instrumentation master. Evaluation from the first year of the complete implementation of this educational experience project is included.
