Abstract :
Nowadays, one of the main problems we have to face as teachers is the current profile of the students. In some sense, today´s students are indifferent to traditional teaching methodologies, and they seem to expect new ways to acquire knowledge. For that reason, an important amount of students starting university studies have a passive attitude when attending lectures. In the Faculty of Computer Science of the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia (UPV), during the academic year 2008-2009, we have started an integral Supporting Plan for Freshmen with the intention to motivate students in their career.
