Abstract
This paper presents temperature regulation in an underground gasification well using multirate control. As the gasification process to be controlled is unstable and with large time delay, a dual loops control system where first loop uses model-based predictive control (MBPC) with slow sampling rate and another is a conventional controller with fast sampling rate, is designed. This control scheme may assure robustness and provide satisfactory control performances. Simulation analysis for the control scheme has been carried out.
