Abstract
In this paper we propose a polyphase processing solution for relaxing the strict timing constraints of all-digital ultra wide band (UWB) receiver architectures. The work is motivated by the fact that, while interleaved data acquisition systems have been investigated in the literature with the aim of mitigating the strict timing requirements imposed by the sampling theorem, less attention has been paid in analyzing efficient processing architectures aiming at reducing the overall computational complexity of UWB receiver architectures. Specifically, we evidence how to exploit the polyphase approach for designing efficient detection, synchronization and channel estimation structures
