Abstract :
A novel model-based method has been conceived for in-line pH control, and laboratory demonstrations show proof of concept. A nonlinear model-based control technique has been successfully applied to achieve excellent control results on both acidic and basic streams, for a wide variety of disturbances. The controller contains several refinements over the earlier version and is more robust. It gives good performance for tests conducted on two industrial wastewater situations. This paper discusses several implementation issues and solutions.
