Abstract
In this work a capacitance level meter is designed and linearized and has been used in level monitoring applications. The design is made such that the calibration curve is independent of the inherent geometrical properties, including geometrical non-linearities and the nature of cable connection and the input characteristics of the monitoring apparatus. The system has been designed in a cost effective manner and encouraging results have been obtained. In addition, a novel Artificial Neural Network Technique for compensation of error has been developed here.
