Abstract
Fluorescence thermometer based on temperature dependence of photoluminescence intensity is evaluated using Pr doped YAG crystal. PL intensity from Pr doped YAG decreases with temperature. Anomalous temperature dependence of PL is found to be seen in as-grown crystal. This anomaly can be improved with annealing. Pr doped YAG is suggested to be a stable thermo-sensor in fluorescence thermometer application.
