Abstract :
This paper develops a general law of the growth process of information systems of enterprises in northeast old industrial base. Based on the classical study of Nolan, the paper collected related history data of information systems construction by means of an investigation of 267 enterprises in northeast old industrial base. Then, according to the growth rate of annual information systems expenditures, the information systems growth process of enterprises in northeast old industrial base is divided into five stages from the late 1970´s to present, germination, initiation, diffusion, fast development, and harmonious development. At last the paper analyzes the characteristics of each stage and forecasts the development trend.
