An investigation and study of settlement observation in building engineering

The relevant standards of the state and industry stipulate that the building engineering settlement observation should be adopted, but comparing with the one and second class precise leveling surveying, the building engineering has its own characteristics. According to the national and industry standards and combining the authors´ practical experience of settlement observation, this paper discusses the problems of how to set the settlement observation points, how to implement the settlement observation and how to arrange the cycle of the settlement observation, this paper gives valuable methods and suggestions in the end.
