Abstract :
A portable VSAT terminal with tracking ability is presented for C band satellite communication on moving jets, marine vehicles or mobiles. Firstly, the system specifications have been analyzed using engineering system approach. In the second part, some critical technologies adopted in the system, like antenna, integration with RF front end, spread spectrum, hybrid tracking system, DOA algorithm and broadband phase shifter, are introduced.
