  • Abstract
In this paper, we propose a concatenated 1-D reduced-rank processing receiver structure for MC-CDMA systems with an antenna array. A GSC scheme with the reduced-rank multistage Wiener filter (MSWF) is employed. Due to the faster convergence property of the reduced-rank processing in the concatenation structure, it outperforms minimum mean-squared error (MMSE)-based receivers with the classical Wiener solution estimated by a small number of samples. The performance is evaluated by using comparative computer simulation and it is demonstrated that the concatenated 1-D processing structure is capable of outperforming the existing 1-D or joint 2-D processing schemes. Finally, we combine the proposed scheme with a successive interference cancellation (SIC) receiver, and propose a branch processing structure. The efficacy of the scheme is presented in the simulation results
