Abstract
The Diode-clamped three-level reversible converter is researched in this paper. The converter can operate in four quadrants with power flow in bi-direction. The low frequency model of the converter is built. The mode-switching between the rectification and inversion is analyzed in detail with the vector relationship between voltage and current derived. The control for rectification and inversion operation is proposed, respectively. Experimental results are given to verify the analysis and design at the end of the paper.
