Abstract
With the coming of knowledge-based economy, the work-family relationship of knowledge workers has received increasing concerns. This paper studies knowledge workers in Changzhou and proposes hypotheses on knowledge workers´ work-family enrichment, job burnout, and mental health. Based on questionnaire and data analysis, our models are empirically supported. Our conclusions are work-family enrichment has a significantly positive correlation to job burnout and mental health while family-work enrichment has a significantly negative correlation to job burnout and mental health. Based on a data analysis and discussions, we finally propose suggestions from the perspectives of firm, individuals, and family.
