Abstract
In this paper we simulate shock wave propagation by magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) equations and pressure propagations between two electrodes had been investigated. The results showed that influence of shock wave propagation on the inward motion current sheath by Lorentz force had considerable effects on plasma pinch behavior and it may have an important responsibility for dense plasma column disruption before occurrence of m=0 instability.
