Abstract :
The determination of the fractal dimension on the zinc polysilicate (PSAZ) flocculation process and correlation between fractal dimension and removal rate of turbidity were studied. The results of single factor experiment on pH value and the dosage of PSAZ showed when the optimal pH value was 11 and the dosage of PSAZ was 4 ml/L, the removal rate of turbidity was 90.95% and 92.68% for highest and the fractal dimension was 1.412 and 1.416 for highest, respectively, which also showed that the correlation between fractal dimension and removal rate of turbidity was evident.
