Abstract :
The paper presents the design and evaluation of a predictive control algorithm based on a fuzzy model that is applied to the angular stabilization of an inverted pendulum. This algorithm is favorably compared with a conventional generalized predictive control, specially for initial conditions farther from the desired final state
