Abstract
Pressure ulcers are dominant health problem for people who, for various reasons, must spend most of their time in a seated position. The spinal cord injury group is the most affected for this problem. One strategy to prevent pressure ulcers is through the use of special seats. National Institute of Rehabilitation (INR) from Mexico, contoured special seats have been development according to spinal cord injured person. The objective of this work was assessment the users´ perception. This assessment involved questionnaire about satisfaction and usability. The contoured special seats obtained good score, but we found design´s opportunities to improve.
