Abstract :
The opportunities of application of field emission cathodes for effective conversion of microwave power to DC are investigated. The significant influence of transit time effects on the conversion efficiency is demonstrated. Optimal transit angle is calculated and main parameters of the device are obtained. It is demonstrated that at frequency 10 GHz the efficiency achieves 60% at output power 4.3 kW.
