Abstract :
During mine exploration, the borehole plane / profile are usually digitized by manual in MapGIS or CAD platform at the present, which is not only inefficient, but also difficult to meet the requirements of the maps´ accuracy. Based on the results of previous studies, the author researches automatic mapping algorithms based on borehole data, which specifically includes spatial coordinate generation on borehole control point, the start/end position of the sample and profile projection coordinates generation on borehole track. The results show the algorithms can fully meet the precision requirement by verifying accuracy on actual data, The algorithms can effectively support the expanding various automatic mapping methods for geological objects; Based on the above algorithms, MapGIS67 and C#, the author developed plane / profile automatic mapping program, realized the automatic mapping of borehole track and distribution of samples, and the maps can output by MapGIS format, which can accord with the actual needs of the domestic minings.
