Abstract :
On the basis of the general theory of excitation of an irregular coaxial goffered waveguide the mathematical model is created and the program for optimization of parameters of TWT-O with azimuthal symmetric combined E/sub 01/+T-wave is developed. Executed calculations indicate to perspectivity of such TWT. It is shown, that for regular corrugation efficiency of 50% is reached at /spl beta//sub 0/=0.8 (V/sub 0/=345 kV), I/sub 0/=310 A.
