Abstract :
Energy and freshwater crisis is a serious problem faced by China as well as the whole world in the 21st century. Based on the wind resource condition in China, utilizing wind resource to implement seawater desalination and develop the hydrogen production industry comes to be the key method to solve energy and freshwater issues in the coastal areas of China. With the analysis of the development status and prospects of large-scale non-grid-connected wind power in China, the paper discusses the industrial basis and technical feasibility of developing large-scale non-grid-connected wind power system, explores the economic and technical feasibility of seawater desalination and the hydrogen production industry, proposes a chained industry mode of non-grid-connected wind power -seawater desalination and hydrogen production, and forms a construction pattern of 4 seawater desalination and hydrogen production industry bases in China.
