Abstract :
Biometric applications are used to identify the person on the basis of their fingerprint. Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS) systems are running in many countries and all the vendors ranked their system the best in the world. AFIS systems are the example of biometric applications. Business Intelligence (BI) applications on the other hand are helpful in analyzing dynamic information, making predictions and taking effective decisions. Although the performance and speed of the modern biometric system has improved but there is still space for improvement. The current biometric systems lack real time verification; also the data gathered has compatibility issues. There is need of such a system which can provide real time results without the user to wait. The business intelligence can be incorporated with biometric applications for better results. In this paper, we have proposed a model where Biometric Applications can be integrated with Business Intelligence solutions for number of benefits including real-time alerts. To check the validity of our model we tested it with sample data. The outcomes were observed to check efficiency and validity of our model. These efforts can be considered as a step for integration of Biometric Applications with BI in real-world especially in the third world countries.
