Abstract :
Presents our approach and achievements toward addressing the limitations of neural networks in control systems. We show that by modeling the neural control system of the leech, using control system techniques, we are able mitigate current limitations and develop neural network paradigms specifically for control systems. We begin by presenting an overview of the leech neural control system which we modeled. We then show that techniques from large-scale control systems provide insight into the architecture and parameters of the leech neural control system. These insights establish a basis for the development of neural control paradigms
